Policies and Procedures

Only dogs up to 30 lbs for daycare or boarding. Puppies on a per case basis to account for large breeds. 

Dog size for other services on a per case basis.

Stay at home cat care only. FIV+ cats are eligible for in-home checks. 

• Flea prevention 

(Any flea infestation found on dog(s) while in my care is subject to flea bath and upcharge for flea control)

• Distemper-Parvo

• Bordetella

• Rabies

• Influenza

This vaccine is a two-part series and I require both the initial and a booster vaccine (which is usually done 3-4 weeks post the initial vaccine).

• A negative fecal within the past year.

• Must be spayed/neutered if over a year old.

Copies of vaccine records will be kept on electronic file. Owner is responsible for ensuring vaccines stay up to date over the course of provided services. 

Pets who display aggression towards other dogs in my care will be deemed Special Care Dogs. The pet owner will be notified and given the choice to continue services at the Special Care Dog rate. If triggers are unknown to the pet owner, Fairy DogMother will attempt to identify aggression triggers and socialize the dog. Once aggression can be deemed under control when around other dogs, the special care dog may return to normal pricing at Fairy DogMother discretion. 

Pet aggression that causes safety concerns for Fairy DogMother or other boarded pets may require conversion of services to Drop-In Visits or discontinuation of services.

Owners are required to provide the name of their pet’s vet and emergency services. If the pet’s vet does not have emergency hours, the default provider contacted will be Three Springs Animal Hospital. The pet owner will be responsible for all charges incurred. At least one attempt will be made to contact pet owners in event of pet emergency, however if no contact is made Fairy DogMother will defer to veterinarian professional opinion. Owners must sign consent for veterinarian care if boarding at my home. 

Dogs that require care above and beyond that which is typically expected of other dogs will be considered Special Care Dogs. This may include, but is not limited to: high anxiety dogs, dogs with chronic conditions, dogs requiring time sensitive medication administration (2+ doses per day), dogs requiring injections of any sort, behavioral issues, socialization issues, puppies, elderly dogs requiring lots of hands on care (ie. dogs with mobility issues.)

A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due at booking. The remaining half is due the first day of services and will not be refunded for any reason, such as cancellations or early returns/late departures. Full refunds are not offered. Credits may be issued at our discretion at time of cancellation.

A $30 consultation fee will apply for same day consultations or consultations scheduled within 7 days of the start of service at Fairy DogMother’s discretion.

The pet owner is subject to a minimum $100 daily fee if the scheduled service requires the Fairy DogMother to accommodate an additional unexpected 4-to-5-hour timeframe.

All pets must be visited at least once a day to ensure safety. I do not offer every-other day visits while owners are away on vacation or business trips.

All deposits are non-refundable. This is due to the commitment of Fairy DogMother to your specific dates, in addition to turning away other business due to your personal reservation. 

If your reservation is subject to change, please let me know as soon as possible. Credits are issued at my discretion and full refunds are not offered. 

Please provide me with a minimum of 12 hours advance notice of cancellation. Those who do not will be subject to full charge.

If you modify an existing reservation, you may still be responsible for your previously booked visits due to scheduling. Full refunds are not offered.
